Thank you for meeting with me on Thursday and Friday. For my families meeting with me this week, I look forward to talking with you regarding your student.
Several families are looking for more Math practice. At the beginning of the year I placed all students on TenMarks. I have open assignments that have been selected for your child. I sent home another log in page last week to all students.
Kids A-Z is a great way to practice reading and reading comprehension. If you don't have your students log on information, please email me and I will resent.
We write Weekend News every Monday morning. Please help your child with ideas for writing. On Sunday night or Monday morning, discuss with your student what you did over the weekend. Discuss the details of the one event. Give it a beginning, a middle, and an end for the small moment. Fore example: you baked cookies. You started by getting all the ingredients out. In the middle, you stirred the ingredients and made round balls and placed on the cookie sheet. Finally, you placed them in the oven, watched them bake and smelled the wonderful aroma. You tasted one and it melted in your mouth.
Students need to write with adjectives and details.
I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
